There are many benefits of keeping a visual diary such as improving artistic skills, creativity, mental health and boosting memory just to name a few. Taught by Ruth Lawlor, a practicing artist and advocate of finding joy in keeping a visual diary, the class will meet weekly Monday afternoons from 1-3 pm for eight weeks.
In this workshop participants will learn the basics of visual journaling. The creative practice offers a place to record memories, meditate, explore ideas, try out new art techniques and best of all, play. There are no specialized drawing skills required other than curiosity and interest in learning how you might incorporate visual journaling into a creative practice of your own. Participants will use a variety of materials and learn techniques that make the make this a personally rewarding creative practice.
